Our Sails

Public Sails

Maritime Heritage Charters offers 2-hour public sails aboard the Schooner Ardelle around scenic Gloucester Harbor daily throughout our sailing season from May-October (Columbus Day Weekend).

All sail tickets include admission to Maritime Gloucester.

Private Charters

A private charter is a perfect way to gather together for company outings, family events, weddings, birthdays, and memorial services. Whatever occasion you wish to celebrate, we can help you arrange for a memorable sail. We offer affordable options for  both small and large groups.

Special Events

Maritime Heritage Charters offers a wide variety of special event sails throughout the season. Join us for an all day Circumnavigation Sail around Cape Ann, a Schooner Challenge with other local vessels, or one of our music or history sails, there is something for every one!

“Just spent a beautiful late summer Sunday afternoon on the Schooner Ardelle for the first time and am sure it was not my last!!!

A very hospitable and friendly environment with great personable experience from the shipwright/builder and captain himself Harold and his crew. The slow pace of the afternoon sail was just what I needed and what better way to do it on a schooner sail in Gloucester Harbor. Gentle breezes, full sails, a warming sun and amicable guests made for great conversation and experience.

Thank you again and look forward to another sail hopefully before the season closes out!!!”
